Christopher Michael Gomez II has arrived!

Tonight at 8pm our sweet son entered this world! 7lbs 11.9 oz and 20inches and as cute as can be! The Lord provided in so many ways! This was our second VBAC and again, induction was not an option. Labor had to begin on it's own...and the Lord provided! Not only that, He provided us with the LAST Labor and Delivery room and the LAST postpardum room for recovery! They have been busy here at the hospital but we are being well taken care of and are rejoicing and praising the Lord for His continued provision! Hannah has met her brother but Ava was already asleep. She may come tomorrow. Above are a few pictures. Thank you for all of your prayers and visitors are welcome!
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family, and I mean all of you that support and love us. Doctors and nurses have been great and I can't believe how well Kate recovers from pregnancy. She'll need to write a book, we could use the extra money from the royalties! God is so GOOD!
Lots of Love,

Chris, Kate, Hannah, Ava and Christopher

Nursery

Well our nursery is pretty much complete. I have a few boxes to take to storage but other than that we are ready. This room will be Christopher's probably the first full year...maybe less. Then my plan is to have all three sleeping in one room and this will become the play room. Hannah is only napping 3-4 times a week so in another year she may not be napping at all. Having a play room will give her a place to do things while the younger ones sleep. I also think, even though 3 kids in one room will be a challenge, at least when we travel they will be used to sharing a sleeping space...and we will have room for guests if they are brave enough to come stay with us :-) Right now I have a chaise lounge in the room (set up as my 3am feeding/sleeping space) but once it's a full on playroom/guest room I want to get this sleeper sofa http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49843749 Here are some pictures:

Changing table (stocked with newborn diapers, size 5 diapers, pull-up sleepers and little swimmers...talk about spending money on diapers!)Storage for baby clothes etc and my friend the TV for late night feedings
Wall decor above where baby bed will be once he is out of co-sleeper Shelves with mostly decoration but some baby supplies
Our chaise lounge that is a bed for now, co-sleeper and water bottle supply (that I've already gotten into)

Hopefully the next pictures posted will be of Christopher :-)

5 Mommies & 13.5 kids at the Zoo!

Me and some other mommies decided to take advantage of the nice weather on Friday and headed to the Lufkin Zoo for the day. The cost is $5 for adults and kids 4 and under are free and there is also a train ride for $1 (kids 3 and under are free). So for $6 me and the girls had a day of fun. It was a fun trip with lots of laughing :-) Here are a few pictures:

My girls in the stroller
We needed a mini parking lot for all of our strollers!
Hannah and Callie enjoying the parrots saying "hello!"
Me & Ava!

Part of this trip was an attempt to walk this baby out :-) I am 37+ weeks pregnant and really hoping Christopher makes his grand entrance soon! I was flipping through my calendar jotting down some upcoming events and I just can't believe he will be here soon...but I can't wait! The room is ready. I'll post pics of that soon too!

With Love,
Kate

Quick baby boy update

Had an appointment today. 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced. Baby head down and in position. YAY! Hoping he comes in the next week or two...but honestly I cannot imagine being pregnant two more weeks! Guess I should keep an open mind though...he could be in there a little longer. 37 weeks pregnant this Thursday!

Kate

Waiting on baby....

I'm not totally ready yet. Some dear friends are giving me a shower this Sunday and then I need Tuesday (girls will be at MDO from 9am-1pm) to organize and do one last deep clean...then I will be ready! This afternoon was pretty busy and I have a lot of lower back pain tonight. For a little while I thought they were really mild contractions (my early contractions with Ava were in my back but then once true labor started there were no back contractions) but I think now it's just back pain mixed with some braxton hicks and a very wiggly baby boy! I'm 35 weeks today...so I'm getting excited...and nervous...and anxious all at the same time :-)

Lots of Love,
Kate
