Did I forget to mention?

About a week after Ava was born we realized her tear ducts were clogged. Months and months went by and they stayed runny and sometimes oozed. Finally, in June, I went to a pediatric ophthalmologist for a consultation. He did a few tests and then told me that if it hadn't cleared up by the time she was 11 months then she would need to come in for a "procedure" (which meant binding her in this baby cocoon thing and using a small tube like needle to push through the tear duct and clean it out!) This is actually somewhat common and they can do it in office...but I wanted to avoid it as long as possible! Thankfully, through God's goodness, Ava's eyes cleared up about a week after seeing the Dr. Chris and I were so relieved! She's been good ever since!

New things

Today Hannah starts dance class! I'm so excited for her. She seems excited too. We practiced putting on her dance clothes and changing shoes so that she can do it by herself. I'll post pictures of that later tonight.

Hannah is such a big help around the house. She wants to help vacuum, feed the dogs and today she even chased Ava with a Kleenex to wipe her "boogers." Ava was crawling as fast as she could screeching and Hannah was running behind her with a big roll of Kleenex. Haha!

Ava will be one next month! I can't believe it! Time is just flying by. She is really enjoying table foods and loves feeding herself.

Chris has started OLC so a new season has officially begun and things are starting to be more 'scheduled' (which I enjoy because I function SO much better with a routine).

Table Foods...literally!

I thought the day would never come that Ava would eat table food...or any food other than breast milk! But that day has come and she's doing pretty good! I still get nervous with all of the almost choking moments and noises but I'm so proud of her! She is also such a smarty! While trying to eat banana pieces she quickly realized they kept falling and she improvised:

she would move the pieces to the edge of the table and then eat it off the table ledge! haha!
